Description Robert Half is looking for a Low Voltage Technician. This is an onsite position in Savannah, GA.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Installation: Installing low-voltage wiring and equipment for various systems, such as:

Security systems (alarms, cameras, access control)

Communication systems (telephone, network cabling, fiber optics)

Audio/visual systems (intercom, home theater)

Smart home systems

Maintenance: Performing regular inspections and preventative maintenance on installed systems to ensure proper functioning and identify potential issues.

Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and repairing problems with low-voltage systems, often using specialized tools and equipment.

Testing: Testing installed systems to ensure they meet safety and performance standards.

Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of installed systems, repairs, and maintenance work.

Customer service: Communicating effectively with clients, explaining system operation and answering questions.

Skills and Qualifications:

Strong understanding of low-voltage systems.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

Proficiency in installing and terminating cables, connectors, and other components.

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Low-voltage certification or specific system certifications (e.g., fire alarm, security) are a plus.

Work Environment:

Technician will typically work in a variety of settings, including commercial buildings, industrial facilities, and government properties.

The job may involve working indoors and outdoors, and other confined spaces.
