Job Type: Full-time, Schedule: 8-hour shift, Monday – Friday - 7:00 am - 3:30 pm

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour, depending on experience PLUS commissions

Fountain Service Technician sought to join The Lake Doctors, Inc. to install, service, maintain and build floating fountains and pond aeration equipment for a variety of customers in the Savannah/Hilton Head area.

We are currently seeking technicians that will use electrical, plumbing, shop and irrigation skills to service, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of fountain brands as well as assist in the assembly and installation of new units. On the job training will help this position gain troubleshooting and customer service skills. Regular interaction with customers and prospects and being a contributing member of a great team work environment is required. Working, driving, and installation in a variety of weather conditions is routine. A strong commitment to safety, consistent with company policy, is a must.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Service, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of fountain brands, as well as assist in the assembly and installation of new units - on the job training will focus on this.

  • Maintain communication with Homeowners Associations, Customers, Vendors, Trade Professionals, Golf Courses, Apartments and other referral sources in the community to grow The Lake Doctors, Inc. business.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and interpret operating procedures, and safety rules.

  • Possess good time management, organizational and communication skills.

  • Highly motivated individual that works well on their own.

  • Strong Team Player.

  • Comfortable speaking with the customers to discuss their fountain and aeration needs.

Education and Experience:

  • Mechanical and electrical knowledge: 1 year (helpful). Multiple training options available on the job.

  • High school or equivalent (required). Some college helpful but not essential.

Physical Requirements:

  • Physical strength and agility to safely and sufficiently operate equipment such as boats, all-terrain vehicles, trucks and other assigned equipment or vehicles in outdoor environments, on or near water, in an environment that may include heavy vegetation, uneven terrain, various species of wildlife and varying weather conditions.

  • Ability to safely winch, launch a boat on uneven terrain from a trailer, including when required, the ability to move or carry a Jon/utility boat to the shoreline up to a distance of 50ft.

  • Ability to pull electrical wire/power cables, dig trenches, bury conduit/power cables and lift, move and install weighted tubing used for aeration installations.

  • Must be able to service fountain motors that vary in size and weight. This will require the ability to on occasion flip fountains over, lift or move fountains ranging from 50 to 100lbs.

Restrictions:

  • A valid, clean Driver’s License for the operations of various motor vehicles and equipment. Our insurance company must accept you as an insured prior to employment.

  • Full Time only.

  • Must have reliable transportation to and from work.

  • We perform background checks, motor vehicle record checks and drug screening.

Willingness to travel: This job normally requires daily travel from the employee’s assigned work station to various work sites.
