We're hiring a motivated and skilled Final Line Mechanic I to contribute to our operations in Savannah, GA. This role is crucial in ensuring the high standards of quality and precision our clients expect from our aircraft.

Job Details:

  • Job Title: Final Line Mechanic I

  • Job Type: Full Time; Contract

  • Location: Savannah, GA

  • Schedule: 1st Shift

  • Pay Rate: $25.66 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Installation and Assembly: Assemble, install, and adjust aircraft structure parts and system components such as control cables, sectors, linkages, and landing gear.

  2. Component Replacement: Conduct basic repairs including removing and replacing system components, cutting and fitting system lines, and performing necessary adjustments.

  3. System Checks: Ensure installations are leak-free and meet all operational requirements and specifications through rigorous testing and adjustments.

  4. Tool Proficiency: Utilize a variety of tools effectively, including permaswage pumps, dies, line cutting tools, and wrenches to complete tasks efficiently.

  5. Quality Assurance: Monitor all installations closely to ensure each assembly meets strict quality standards before final inspection.

  6. Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate logs and records, update required documentation, and comply with safety regulations and company policies.

Requirements:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of aerospace/aviation experience or equivalent mechanical experience (e.g., auto mechanics, heavy equipment); A&P license may offset the experience requirement.

  • Skills: Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams. Proficient in using necessary tools and equipment for assembly and repairs.

  • Physical: Must be able to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Preferred:

  • Experience with Solumina and Smarteam.

  • Proven ability to perform basic mechanical functions such as drilling and reaming.

Pay Details: $25.66 per hour
