Job Description

Step 1

Ownership to drive from a quality perspective a new industrialization

• Review, support and participate to the manufacturing documentation reviews including (Work instruction review, Process risk analysis PFMEA)

• Validate the manufacturing workflow according the customer requirements and risks

• Define the inspection process and associated deliverables control tools, R&R, MSA

• Participate in APQP risk reviews during the full project and associated actions plan

• Act as a leader of the industrial validation (Production Parts Approval Process PPAP) in order to ensure the right maturity and the highest quality standards.

• Participate to the introduction of new manufacturing 4.0 concepts including Virtual reality, full digitalization, connected tools and manage all the associated risks and compliancy to the quality framework.

• Introduce error proof initiative from logistic to the shop to ensure a full conformity and highest quality level of all the operations

• Introduce highest quality standard for Non-conformity prevention (FOD, Poka-Yoke, calibration, etc...)

• Ensure that the organization meets all the EN9100/AS9100 requirements, in accordance with the Safran Nacelles Quality Management System.

Step 2

Ownership includes quality assurance of products, manufacturing processes. Includes conformance in manufacturing, incoming goods control, product inspection, witness points, management of the Quality. You will be a SNA Quality Representative in Savannah, and thus you will be in charge of the continuous improvement of our Customer satisfaction.

• Manage non-conformity treatment on the shop floor. Ensure a fluid treatment of the internal concessions.

• Lead multi-functional teams to effectively determine root causes and deploy effective corrective action plans to put in place permanent solutions to problems. Document and update problem-solving database to insure clear and timely closure of actions.

• Realize the human factor interviews after each discrepancy and propose corrective actions.

• Manage suppliers non-conformity, be a coordinator with the Safran Nacelles Supplier Quality team.

• Participate in internal and external audits and pilot associated audit action plans. Conducting Gemba walk and OJT On job Training.

• Conducting product and process audits to detect or anticipate anomalies.

• Assist in training and qualifications of local Safran employees in the understanding of quality requirements. Support Operation to establish the correct training plan for mechanics and inspectors

• Support and diffuse a zero defect and right first time Culture to establish a strong quality mindset within the team

• Active participation in both departmental and cross-functional improvement projects.

• Perform other related duties as required

Job Requirements

  • Knowledge

o Experience in manufacturing quality, manufacturing engineering is preferred

o ISO9001 and/or AS9100 quality system experience preferred

o Knowledge of the quality tools (5 why, 8D, PFME, root cause analyze)

o Knowledge of Lean / Continuous Improvement Practices

o Microsoft office, SharePoint Microsoft Power BI
