Primary Location: Canada (CA) - Off-Site - Saskatoon

Title: Ag Development Program Representative - 106712

Your Responsibilities

This role is a part of the John Deere early development program designed to incorporate John Deere equipment, systems, processes, sales and marketing knowledge through small project assignments. This role provides a foundation of knowledge about our business and prepares the individual for future progressive roles in the Company. Individuals can expect to remain in this role from 12 to 18 months (although this time frame may vary) before moving into a progressive opportunity. Subsequent roles could be in various locations across Canada, and as such, the candidate should be prepared to relocate for future positions.

  • Fulfills a variety of developmental assignments, including limited responsibility for channel partner performance (such as parts market share or complete goods market share).

  • Travels with selected field managers to make sales/product support calls on channel partners and customers.

  • Delivers and or assists with product promotional events.

  • Participates in training related to product, sales, and marketing processes, etc.

What Skills You Need

  • 1 to 3 years of agricultural industry experience in any field

  • Understanding of farming trends associated with agriculture in Canada

  • Demonstrated team player

  • Strong communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills

  • Ability to handle multiple projects and/or tasks

  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 75%

  • Ability to relocate for this position, as well as future opportunities

  • Valid driver's license

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Agriculture field experience with regular customer interaction

  • Agricultural financials

  • Knowledge of Ag equipment, products, customers

  • Bilingual communication skills (English/French)

  • Knowledge of dealer/distribution network

Education

Agricultural or Business or Engineering or related degree program
