DeZurik Inc. Accounts Payable Supervisor in Sartell, Minnesota

GENERAL SUMMARY The Accounts Payable Supervisor creates value for DeZURIK by supervising and guiding the day-to-day operational activities of the accounts payable function. This role implements standard operating procedures to maintain accurate financial records and compliance with company policies. This position is currently eligible for DeZURIK s hybrid work schedule. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS) Enter and process supplier invoices into the Accounts Payable module of DeZURIK s ERP system. Ensure accuracy and timeliness of supplier invoice entry for the Accounts Payable team. Manage supplier payment processing and scheduled check runs. Ensure timely payments of invoices and maintain accurate records and control reports. Oversee workloads, assign balanced distribution of work on the team, and lead the monthly Accounts Payable close processes.= Serve as knowledge expert for Accounts Payable transactional processes. Serve as the main contact for complicated supplier inquiries. Continually look for areas of improvement for accuracy and transactional efficiencies. Prepare and evaluate applicable reports to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for areas of process and procedure improvement. Provide direct supervision to the Accounts Payable team, providing continual training and coaching as needed. Ensure that the duties and responsibilities are clearly defined and communicated with accountability around productivity goals. Various duties as assigned. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor s degree in accounting, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience (preferably in a high-volume AP environment). Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience. Supervision over multiple locations is highly preferred. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Proven ability to learn systems and processes, look for areas of inefficiency and make recommendations for improvement. NetSuite experience highly preferred. Ability to delegate duties and tasks as needed. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Strong communication skills. Attention to detail. Proficient at Excel. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Physical demands are typical of an office position including extended periods of sitting, and extensive use of a personal computer and telephone. This position requires the flexibility to work on weekends to facilitate an accurate monthly financial close and internal reporting. WORKING CONDITIONS Normal manufacturing and office environment. When working occasionally in some shop areas, personal protection equipment (PPE) will be recommended and/or required (safety shoes, safety glasses w/side shields, hearing protection, face shield, gloves, apron and boots). Must have the ability to support extended business hours to meet customer business needs.
