Job Responsibilities:

  1. Review project installation and engineering procedures, wherever possible.

  2. Review the offshore installation campaign planning and provide technical support for planning and engineering prior to execution, wherever possible.

  3. Attend and contribute to Project IPOPs, HAZIDs, and other meetings, wherever possible.

  4. Ensure approved procedures are followed offshore.

  5. Attend all site daily progress meetings.

  6. Attend daily toolbox talk meetings (when available).

  7. Lead site incident investigations for minor incidents.

  8. Ensure Project QA/QC standards are implemented offshore.

  9. Ensure daily work progress and contract status are received and correct, and that an operational and HSE meeting is conducted with the barge key personnel on board and the other contractor representatives.

  10. Liaise with other contractor representatives to ensure adequate resources/vessels are allocated offshore to effectively monitor and manage the work.

  11. Monitor work progress, activities, and resource planning (i.e., inspectors and subcontractors) and assess the consequences of changes or delays on the overall progress of the work. Report work progress to the SURF Project Engineer daily.

  12. Manage all technical, logistical, and interface aspects for all SURF and pipeline installation (including interface with Wells activities), pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities at offshore worksites.

  13. Ensure all works are executed in compliance with the Company’s requirements covering HSE, quality, and costs within the framework of the contract.

  14. Recommend and record lessons learned during offshore execution.

  15. Champion the HSSE-front:

  • Actively promote a safe working environment offshore.

  • Ensure site-specific procedures are followed, where applicable.

  • Ensure all Company’s HSSE policies, procedures, and guidelines are followed offshore.

  • Ensure emergency procedures are in place and functioning (tested).

  • Conduct weekly HSE inspections offshore for HSE assurance and effectiveness on routine activities – toolbox briefings, PTW compliance, emergency response drills, etc.

  • Follow up and close out all HSSE recommendations and action items (MFV, SIV, incident investigations, etc.).

  • Ensure full compliance with the Company’s procedures on incident notification, investigation, reporting, and close out of recommended action items.

  1. Review incident reports prior to submission into Fountain.

Job Requirements

  • Must be a professional with a recognized engineering degree or have a minimum of 15 years’ experience in offshore upstream oil and gas construction.

  • Must possess a minimum of 10 years’ experience in a similar capacity as a Company Site Representative in an offshore environment.

  • Must possess 5 years’ experience in Deepwater Subsea Tree System, Umbilical, Riser & Flowline (SURF), and Subsea Pipeline installation, pre-commissioning, and commissioning.

  • Must have a proven record in Project, Safety, and Personnel Management.

  • Must be conversant with applicable international/local/Company specifications, codes, standards, and procedures.

  • Must have attended OPITO-approved MEMIR (Major Emergency Management - Initial Response) Training.

  • Preferably passed Shell Permit-to-Work (PTW) Applicant and PTW Management.

  • Preferably attended Shell Management of Major Emergencies Training.

  • Project location will be based in Sarawak .
