Job Title: Machine Service and Repair Specialist

Overview:

The Machine Service and Repair Specialist is a highly skilled technician responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of various capacitor, Lithium-Ion capacitor, and battery winding and testing machines. This role requires expertise in electronics, mechanical systems, fluid power/pneumatics, electrical systems, PLC programming, automated machinery, and robotics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform electrical services, working from machine design drawings, specifications, and electrical schematics.

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and refurbish machines, including electronic, mechanical, pneumatic, and PLC systems.

  • Use PLC software for machinery troubleshooting and repair.

  • Order replacement parts and inspect completed repairs as needed.

  • Conduct internal and customer training on machine operations and maintenance.

  • Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and protocols.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work in confined spaces and lift items over 40 lbs.

  • Flexibility to adjust weekly schedule and work overtime/off-shifts to meet department needs.

  • Must troubleshoot machinery and make effective repair decisions independently.

  • Strong knowledge of NEC and NFPA 70E regulations.

  • Willingness to travel 30-40%, including overnight stays at customer locations.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and prioritize workload with minimal supervision.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in Mechatronics is preferred.

  • Familiarity with TQM Autonomous Maintenance, SMED, and 5S methodologies is a strong advantage.

  • Knowledge of machine safety and LOTO protocols.

  • Strong planning, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Team player with a focus on continuous improvement of product quality.

  • Willingness to work irregular hours if necessary.

Pay Details: $30.00 to $35.00 per hour
