Amazon Brazil is looking for a Senior International Business Manager to play an important role within the Retail team by owning a category and adding selection, analyzing business data, driving vendor performance, negotiating terms and handling promotions. As a International Business Manager, you will be responsible for strategic relationships with several of our key vendors and partners. You will work with global vendors to drive all aspects of terms improvements, which includes analysis and projections, as well as direct negotiations with senior decision makers in local vendors.

Additionally, you will increase product category sales, by driving store marketing promotions, negotiating partners to improve selection, and reacting to industry-related economic trends. You will have excellent verbal and written communication, the ability to analyze and communicate complex terms and margin structure and work well across other teams including Finance and Inventory Management. Key job responsibilities

  • Negotiating with global electronics suppliers and acquiring new ones to expand the company's portfolio;

  • Create business plans for new opportunities and develop and execute project plans for the launch of new features, incorporating merchandising, stock management and pricing strategies;

  • Providing advice in taxation on imported finished products to leverage and benefit from the tax structure for increased profitability;

  • Understanding customs clearance, customs brokers, international expenses, warehousing, and integrated systems;

  • Monitoring market trends, exchange rates, and international logistics routines;

  • Managing the company's international purchasing strategies to ensure necessary supply within favorable business conditions and timelines;

  • Coordinating the imported supply portfolio, particularly in the electronics category, to ensure continuous operation without disruptions or compromising the company's cash flow;

  • Developing business strategies for the short, medium, and long term;

  • Executing processes related to importation end-to-end, from placing orders with suppliers to issuing Supplementary Invoices, creating promotions for consumers, and monitoring rebate funds;

  • Understanding processes related to foreign trade to improve them;

  • Responsible for the Profit and Loss (P&L) of imported products.

Basic Qualifications

  • English Fluency;

  • Previous experience executing importation process end-to-end, from placing orders with suppliers to issuing Supplementary Invoices, creating promotions for consumers, and monitoring rebate funds;

  • Understanding processes related to foreign trade;

  • Account management, project or program management or buying experience;

  • Ability to develop and analyze international projects – negotiation, contracts, customs clearance, logistics, and other processes related to international trade;

  • Experience with vendor negotiations, pricing and promotion or inventory management;

  • Experience using data to influence business decisions;

  • Able to drive internal cross-team collaboration;

  • Expert in business analysis and P&L management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams

  • Advanced Excel and SQL
