Eaton Corporation EHS Supervisor in Santa Rosa Jauregui, Mexico

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a EHS Supervisor.

What you’ll do:

Provides Environmental, Health, Safety leadership activities to the Site, assuring compliance of EHS objectives and targets; internal reporting of EHS performance; communication of national, area, and local regulatory requirements, and; ensuring documents are available in the local languages. Position is responsible for: implementing and maintaining site ISO 14001certification; assuring accurate and complete EHS reporting of metrics; assuring closure of MESH and regulatory agency findings on a timely basis; completion of required training for EHS personnel; managing interfaces with the public and governmental authorities with adverse findings and enforcement actions; directing actions during crises; site security, creating a strong EHS culture that engages employees throughout the site in EHS teams and processes.

A. Maintains the site ISO 14001 certification; assuring accurate and complete EHS metrics reports; closure of MESH and regulatory agency findings on a timely basis.

B. Participates in establishing policy, objectives and targets of ISO14001 Environmental Management System, implementing an effective operational control to manage significant environmental aspects in their activities and services according with Environmental, Health and Safety regulations.

C. Manages the environmental program to assure compliance to regulatory agencies and Eaton requirements in Air emissions, Water, Waste and Environmental Risk. Attends regulatory inspections.

D. Leads and promotes environmental projects (energy consumption reduction, waste reduction, zero waste to landfill, etc.)

E. Drives and promote “Zero Incidents” EHS culture throughout site, establishing the principles and methodologies for Campus Safety and Hygiene to prevent occupational hazards, accidents, illnesses, and injuries to employees. Works with leadership team to create targets and objectives’ based on key EHS risks.

F. Helps implementation and maintains a multifunctional approaching to address at least the following EHS matters such as Investigation of accidents, Inspection audits, Analysis of job security, Preparation and emergency response, Equipment First Aid / Cardiopulmonary, Management of chemicals, Environmental and Analysis, Analysis of risks to safety and health.

G. Uses established EHS data processes such as MESH Suite to manage data for injuries and illnesses, environmental metrics, risk assessments, EHS action items and other pertinent information, providing necessary guidance to the plant manager and the leadership team about MESH.

H. Pursues third party recognition for programs that establish the site and Eaton’s EHS program as world class.

I. Creates training matrices to ensure that all trainings are defined and tracked to completion.

J. Manages activities to assure site achieves EHS targets & objectives.

K. Maintains awareness of laws and regulations at national, regional, local and other, to determine if they affect plant operations and MESH to complete an annual evaluation of compliance for EHS.

L. Works with site leadership team and facilities to ensure that all key EHS operational controls are in place, on a PM program, and that EHS action items are resolved on a timely basis.

Qualifications:

Education level required:

University degree required, with an emphasis in environmental, health and safety program management.

Years and area of experience required:

5-8 years of experience in Environment, Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene program management.

Skills:

Technical knowledge

Knowledge and application of EHS regulations issued by legal authorities.

EHS related technical knowledge or experience (Eg. Working at height, machine guarding, etc)

Desired ISO 14001 Internal Auditor certification

Soft skills:
