Eaton Corporation Designer in Santa Rosa Jauregui, Mexico

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Designer.

What you’ll do:

In this role you will be responsible of creating and maintain 2D drawings and 3D models, adhering to business CAD standards. Provide direct support on generating and updating product definition data, analyzing and validating assembly activities such as fit analysis, tolerance stackup analysis, etc. Perform engineering changes activities such as creation/modification of material master or bills of materials.

Job Responsibilities

A. Create and maintain 2D drawings and 3D models for LIPE products.

B. Support design of LIPE products to address improvements.

C. Develop and improve design guidelines and processes.

D. Review and update drawings, create or modify material master and bills of materials through the ECR/CO process.

E. Work with departments involved in the execution of NPD and cost out projects.

F. Apply manufacturing processes knowledge to propose design improvements.

G. Generate and maintain customer drawings.

H. Interact with both Queretaro and global team during ECR/CO process.

I. Exercises leadership by sharing technical and practical knowledge with other team members.

J. Support on root cause analysis, document and solve design issues.

K. Establish and maintain a collaborative working relationship with other areas.

L. Participate on cost out initiatives as required.

M. Apply a digital and lean mindset to the drafting and CO processes,

Qualifications:

Education level required

Bachelor´s degree in Electrical, Mechanical or similar.

Years and area of experience required

2-3 years as a product or design engineer.

Skills:

Technical knowledge

Required :

Proficient knowledge of 3D design software

GD&T proficiency

Mechanical design knowledge

Experience in manufacturing plant as design or product engineer

Experience using ENOVIA or other Product Lifecycle Management System.

Preferred :

Experience in BOM management

SAP experience

CREO experience

Soft skills

Creativity, initiative, and self-starter. Ability to demonstrate analytical problem solving. Ethical, Detail Oriented
