*Pay Range: $140,000 - $210,000 USD annually 

 

  POSITION SUMMARY:   

Company 3 Method Studios Inc is looking to hire an Executive Producer to its global team.     

The Executive Producer will oversee and maintain the operations of the studio and ensure minimal interruption to the business while maximizing quality product and communication with all other departments. This involves the management of producers, the division’s financial status, client relationships and collaborative management for the direction, growth and vision of the company.     

  

MAIN DUTIES:   

The ideal candidate will manage the current projects and accounts, as well as grow the business by working with the Managing Director, Sales Reps and EPs.  The EP will ensure projects are produced within approved budgets/deadlines. They will work to develop close relationships with clients and participate in the process of hiring film crews, talent, and outside vendors when necessary.   

  • You will generate and maintain revenue for the company through client relationships, strategizing with internal sales/head of production/producers, negotiations and other means necessary.   

  • Bid new projects and help find leads/new work for the studio.  

  • Help to promote the VFX Team to the larger industry, and develop sales strategies, promotional ideas, and new ways of thinking to enhance the status of the team within the industry.  

  • You will target clients and accounts to be won by Method and define strategies to win new business.  

  • You will continually develop relationships with clients and complete additional duties as required.   

  • You will respond to new project bidding requests and wrapped job inquiries. Serve as a first point of contact and carry through the bid plan, project scope and artist requirements to RM, and finalize client needs in order to secure the work.  

  • You will gather and distribute to the Senior Vice President & Producers all key information (boards, creative expectations, schedule, transfer and delivery requirements, etc.) necessary to bid and manage all project based and/or hourly project sessions in the most efficient manner.   

  • Work with the Managing Director to establish all project margins, budgets and discounts.  

  • Help assign producers to projects and oversee their progress on assignments.  

  • You can encourage and mentor the growth of less experienced production talent for additional support, make sure every session booked has a producer assigned.   

  • Manage the budgets for each project from start to finish, and ensure proper overages are being presented when needed.    

  • Help the producers to maintain profit margin for each project bid.  

  • You will be responsible to help organize and generate processes for the VFX Production team, that ensures smooth workflow’s between Production, Systems, Finance, Engineering & Pipeline.  

  • You will interface with engineers to address and resolve technical issues in an expedient manner for project and studio needs on a daily basis.   

  • Facilitate the resolution of issues that arise during daily operations regarding processes, staff and resources.  Includes planning, budgeting, mediation and conflict resolution.   

  • You get proper rate approvals in writing by the Managing Director, check credit limits in advance and resolve accordingly both internally and with the client.   

  • You have Operations create Work Orders for all billable, non-billable, testing and pro bono work and attend the session while Masters are being laid off to help QC final picture and assure a perfect product.   

  • You will work with an accounting/sales representative/executive producer/operations client to make sure the billing is properly done in accordance to the client’s needs.   

  • You will produce projects within the approved budget and deadlines, communicate changes in projects to department leads and management.   

  • You will participate in the process of hiring film crews, talent, outside vendors, etc. and maintain a positive customer relationship through both written and verbal communication as well as high levels of customer satisfaction by accurately fulfilling customer orders and resolving customer problems accurately, on time, and with high quality.   

      

    WHAT YOU BRING:   

    The ideal candidate will come with previous experience in post-production and supervisory experience as well.   They will have e xperience working with Directors and helping them put together treatments that will win the company new work.  They will have the ability to create and maintain a positive working environment and team spirit in order to motivate the team to contribute at their highest and most efficient capacity.  Additional desired skills include:

  • Experience working on and assisting to bid live action shoots.  

  • Experience in a fast-paced post-production environment.  

  • You have strong PC skills, including experience using MS Office, MS Excel, CETA.  

  • You demonstrate superior written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills are needed.     

  • You have proven planning and problem solving abilities which are required and very strong ability identifying clear priorities and meeting department goals.

  • Ability to travel as needed, and to attend client outings including lunches, events, parties, etc.  

  • You have the ability to work flexible hours whenever necessary.
