Amazon Program Manager, Global Supply Chain and Transportation Procurement in Santa Monica, California

Description

This position has the option to be located in Nashville, TN, Bellevue, WA, Arlington, VA, Austin TX, or Santa Monica, CA.

We are seeking a skilled Transportation Program Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of our transportation programs.

As a Transportation Program Manager, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating transportation projects and initiatives, ensuring efficient and effective transportation services for our organization. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, coordinating with external stakeholders, and overseeing the day-to-day operations of transportation programs. Key job responsibilities

  • Develop and implement transportation programs and initiatives in line with the organization's strategic goals and objectives.

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of transportation projects, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and policies.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify transportation needs and develop innovative solutions to improve transportation efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including transportation providers.

  • Monitor and analyze transportation data, trends, and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven recommendations.

  • Manage transportation budgets and resources, ensuring effective utilization of funds and adherence to financial guidelines.

  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and guidelines related to transportation operations and services.

  • Stay updated on emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in transportation management, and incorporate them into program strategies.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of program or project management experience

  • 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience

  • Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience

  • 3+ years of driving process improvements experience

  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization

  • Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
