Comprehensive Care

Dominican offers emergency services and is a Certified Stroke Center and Chest Pain Center. Dominican’s services include the only comprehensive Cancer Center in Santa Cruz County, a Total Joint Replacement program, and advanced neurological and endoscopic services. Dominican regularly receives ‘A’ grades for hospital safety from Leapfrog Group, and has received national recognition for superior patient safety, cardiac care, and stroke treatment from Healthgrades, a leading provider of comprehensive information about physicians and hospitals.

As Santa Cruz County’s heart attack (STEMI) receiving center, Dominican Hospital provides cutting edge cardiac care. The hospital’s heart attack treatment times consistently beat the national average, and the hospital offers two cardiac catheterization labs available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Groundbreaking cardiac procedures at Dominican include the Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) procedure, which allows for heart valve replacement without opening a patient’s chest.

Dominican Hospital has forged significant partnerships with area hospitals to bring exceptional care to Santa Cruz County. The hospital offers a level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) through a partnership with Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford. Responsibilities

  • Manages the operations and services of the Cancer Center. Facilitates multi-disciplinary programs to develop standard of care in clinical pathways. Assures departmental competency and compliance to all regulatory accreditation and hospital standards of care.

  • Prepares and justifies annual budgeting maintaining effective staffing plans determining productive and non-productive expenditures and determining non-labor expense requirements. Coordinates capital equipment budget in collaboration with medical staff. Explores and initiates revenue enhancement activities. Manages department budget within fiscal year approved targets.

  • Participates in the planning development and implementation of organizational operational and strategic goals. Develops implements and monitors department safety management programs. Develops and implements business and marketing plans to aid in the development and advancement of service line.

  • Responsible for staffing and performance management of staff. Monitors productivity and quality to maintain compliance with all regulatory standards gives feedback to staff and maintains workload.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and/or additional job related experience in lieu of the degree.

  • Minimum of three (3) years experience in oncology related field. Minimum of five (5) years of management experience.

Pay Range

$76.73 - $97.96 /hour
