Amergis Full-Time Speech Language Pathologist Position in Santa Clarita, California

The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) play a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating communication and swallowing disorders across all age groups. Here are their key responsibilities:

  • Assessment: SLPs evaluate individuals with speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders. They use standardized tests, informal assessments, and clinical observations to identify areas of difficulty.

  • Diagnosis: Based on assessments, SLPs diagnose communication and swallowing disorders and create personalized treatment plans.

  • Treatment: SLPs provide therapy to address speech production, language comprehension, cognitive-communication skills, voice quality, and fluency. They also work with individuals who have swallowing difficulties.

  • Intervention: SLPs offer strategies to overcome communication barriers and achieve goals, working one-on-one or in group settings.

  • Counseling and Education: SLPs educate individuals and families about communication and swallowing disorders, coping strategies, and progress.

  • Collaboration: They work closely with other healthcare professionals, educators, and caregivers to ensure comprehensive care.
