Nvidia Senior Director - Deals Desk in Santa Clara, California

NVIDIA redefined modern computer graphics, high performance computing and artificial intelligence. The company’s pioneering work in accelerated computing and AI is reshaping trillion-dollar industries, such as transportation, healthcare and manufacturing, and fueling the growth of many others. We are looking for a Senior Director to oversee our newly created Deals Desk within our Accounting/Finance organization. As the Deals Desk leader, you will partner with numerous business units to lead all aspects of and scale the deals process for optimal deal velocity, assess risk, and structure deals for new and existing business models.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Oversee all Deals Desk operations; through a combination of automation and standardization, scale the deal flow process for optimal deal velocity

  • Find opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in deal management

  • Partner with Sales, Legal, Procurement, Tax, Treasury, FP&A and various Business Units to structure deals for new and existing business models

  • Negotiate directly with customers or vendors regarding key financial terms as necessary

  • Lead the risk assessment process for all deals, new customers, new vendors and ongoing risk assessment for existing customers and vendors.

  • Ensure alignment with company policy and financial goals

  • Lead a team of 4 Accounting deal reviewers – for both revenue and purchasing contracts. Review related accounting conclusions

What we need to see:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience from a leading university in Finance or Accounting

  • Active CPA or equivalent qualification

  • 15+ overall years with a combination of public accounting and related industry experience

  • 6+ years of people leadership

  • 8+ years with a technical accounting/contract volume focus

  • Demonstration of continual management progression and leading of teams

  • Executive presence. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate with all levels of the Company

  • Strong US GAAP technical accounting base

  • Strong understanding of financial, legal and operational risks

  • Familiarity working in a public company SOX-compliant environment

  • Ability to work at the speed of light

  • National Office tour in a Big 4 public accounting firm

  • Experience collaborating across a large organization to influence and inspire change

The base salary range is 288,000 USD - 437,000 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
