Your Career

As a Director,Product Management at Palo Alto Networks for our SASE solution including Prisma Access and SD-WAN, you will be responsible for developing and driving our product execution strategy for Managed Service Providers around the globe. You will be responsible for driving SASE engagements which allows us to deliver unprecedented value for our Service Provider and GSI customers.

You will compliment you and your team’s creativity through deep interaction with customers and partners to understand requirements and needs. You will be responsible for all stages of the product life cycle (conception, definition, development, pricing, release, and post-release activities) managing strategic planning, feature selection and tactical activities. Other responsibilities include collaborating with Product Marketing to create product related sales and marketing materials and evangelizing the products and product strategy both internally and externally.

Your Impact

  • Understand how all our SASE and NetSec products work and identify what is needed for them to be successful in the Managed Service Provider market across the globe

  • Work closely with key customers to understand their current and future needs. Anticipates future needs and works to get ahead of potential client needs or requirements

  • Support sales and GTM teams with Product capabilities, roadmap, offer creation, go-to-market strategy, and implementation

  • Support proof-of-concept efforts across the MSP space

  • Drive adoption, retention and growth strategies of our Prisma SASE cloud security offerings with MSP customers

  • Work with MSP customers to influence in building reference architectures to benefit Palo Alto Networks products and capabilities

  • Define the business case for solutions, design the solution to help with prototyping and development, and take the solution through to launch and market

  • Demonstrate thought leadership across multiple channels and become a trusted advisor to decision-makers

  • Market and customer analysis, requirements development, business case, collateral, product strategy, and product positioning

  • Product Requirements, Feature prioritization and trade off decision making

  • Ability to work effectively with all areas of the organization, from engineering to sales

  • Customer engagement and relationship development for executive briefings, product evangelism, and requirements gathering

  • Develop and coach appropriate team members. Provide support to other departments for owned feature set

Your Experience

  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Other engineering/technical degree, MBA preferred

  • 10+ years of experience in highly technical roles in product management, development, GTM at large organizations or innovative startups

  • Experience working with or for Service Providers (MNO, MSO, ISP, Wisps) and MSPs preferred

  • Domain experience in SASE, security and cloud architectures, networking, and security. Comprehensive understanding of cyber security concepts, best practices, and current threats to our digital way of life

  • Strong desire to take ownership of the full product life cycle and drive to design something new, innovative, and disruptive

  • Hands-on nature with very strong interest in new technology products

  • Deep understanding of enterprise architectures. Domain expertise in security & network architecture preferred

  • Strong domain expertise in networking, SDN and Cloud Technologies and experience with high performance network management platforms

  • Experience with Cloud management platforms and knowledge of cloud lifecycle deployment and automation frameworks

  • Strong go to market and business analysis skills. Familiarity with usage/utility-based provisioning and pricing models. Understand and can position differences between CAPEX and OPEX service models

  • Demonstrated track record of building strong and scalable PM teams. Strong leadership skills, being able to generate enthusiasm and commitment. Excellent written, verbal communication & presentation skills

  • Willingness to travel to further customer engagement and relationship development

Compensation Disclosure

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $231,000 - $317,000/yr.
