Our client, in Santa Barbara is expanding their night shift custodial crew. The ideal candidate must have strong custodial experience working the night shift and have good time-management skills to ensure all cleaning tasks are performed within the shift. Job Title: Sr. Custodian

Location: Santa Barbara

Pay Range: $30-$32/HR

Night Shift Schedule: 2am-10:30am OR 4pm-12:30am

What’s the Job?

  • Keeps building and classrooms in clean and orderly condition.

  • Perform routine maintenance duties; dusts, sweeps, mops, scrubs floors including buffing & high speed hard and resilient floors. Strips, seals and finishes floors.

  • Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power machinery to prevent damage to floors and fixtures

  • Operates vacuum cleaner, wet/dry vacuum, vacuum all carpeted areas.

  • Cleans restrooms, fixtures, mirrors and replenishes soap and paper goods. Empties and cleans wastebaskets and other receptacles.

  • Responsible for minor maintenance and storage of equipment. May haul, load and/or set up chairs, tables for special functions

  • Other cleaning duties as assigned

What’s Needed?

  • Knowledge of standard cleaning methods and procedures

  • Experience using cleaning equipment including floor buffers, vacuum cleaners and cleaning solutions

  • Background in handling, mixing, and using cleaning chemicals and knowledge of occupational hazard safety rules

  • Ability to stand, walk, and bend for full shift

  • Ability to perform repetitive motion for long periods of time

  • Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screen

  • High School Diploma
