Your main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Performs electrical systems testing and inspection of completed control panel assemblies and their associated industrial-mechanical equipment for conformance to design specifications and applicable regulatory codes and compliance with established customer and Company’s specifications and standards

  • Conducts point-to-point, power off, control panel component and wiring continuity checks and inspection

  • Wires-up (loads) control panel assemblies and associated mechanical equipment in preparation for “hot”, electrical loaded tests

  • Tests electrical-loaded control panel assemblies and associated mechanical equipment to ensure proper programming and mechanical specification functions as specified by engineering Schematics and test protocols

  • Ensures proper completion and accuracy of production and inspection documentation such as checklists, and certifications as required, verifying that required documentation is included with the equipment and is in good order upon completion of tests

To succeed in this role, you will need:

Required:

  • Certificate or achievement or proficiency in Electrical and Electronics Repairers for Commercial and Industrial Equipment or, High School Diploma with 2-3 years of experience in testing of motor control systems for Commercial and Industrial Equipment

  • Highly skilled at interpreting electrical design data

  • Knowledge of PLC and VFD based control components and systems

  • Familiarity with electrical design regulatory codes such as ASME-CSD-1, NEU, UL, ETL, etc.

  • Ability of educating him or herself on the various control systems/processes, and of carrying out tasks with minimal supervision

Preferred:

  • 3-5 years’ experience testing of motor control systems for Commercial and Industrial Equipment

  • Associate degree in Electrical Engineering (or related degree)
