Job Description

A major biopharmaceutical company is seeking a Scientist to provide critical support within their Method Transfer and Development Group. This site has flexible, multi-product manufacturing capabilities and facilities focused on vaccines intermediates and drug substance, and gene therapy drug substance and drug product. The vaccine manufacturing capabilities center on large-scale microbial fermentation, purification, conjugation, and cell banking.

As a Scientist, you will be working to transfer and validate methods for various vaccine drug products that are being transferred to the site. Day to day, you will work alongside a team of Scientists and drive projects to completion as assigned by the Project Manager. Primarily, the drug products will be vaccine-related or components in nature, and the primary methods that need to be transferred and validated are HPLC and various methods for plate-based assays. This role will combine testing experience and report writing, as well as interaction cross-functionally with other groups and sites in the network.

Hard Skills

  • HPLC/UPLC and chromatography experience (5+ years)

  • ELISA experience (bioanalytical testing experience is a plus)

  • Cell-based or plate-based assays is a plus

  • 2+ years in a GMP Pharma environment

  • Bachelor's degree at minimum required; advanced degree is a plus

Work Environment

This is a large pharmaceutical manufacturing organization that is focused on vaccine and gene therapy manufacturing. 1st Shift M - F, with the occasional weekend work, but not likely. 8 - 5 schedule, some OT.
