  • High school diploma or equivalent is required

  • Minimum of 6 months of screw machine experience

  • Must be able to read and understand blue prints

  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude as well as the ability to use measuring instruments and gauges accurately

  • Ability to read and understand procedures, work instructions, and other production documentation

  • Must have basic math skills (adding, subtraction, multiplication and division)

salary: $54,000 - $61,000 per year

Responsibilities

  • Effectively operate and inspect two machines in any one class of machines (Screw, Rotary, or Davenport) at 80% productivity

  • Read control plans and determine appropriate gauging

  • Responsible for quality of work as well as active use of micrometers and other related instruments to ensure that parts meet print specification

  • Perform initial trouble shooting assessment and identify basic machine problems

  • Make minor tooling adjustments including changing quick change tooling

  • Pull shift tickets and assist with cycle counts

  • Responsible for crane operation

  • Maintain accurate record keeping

  • Maintain clean and orderly work area and tool zone

The essential functions of this role include:

  • working in a smoke free environment

  • wearing steel toe shoes

  • standing for 5 hours at one time

  • working weekends
