Summary

Concrete Finishers utilize special tools and apply finisher skills and knowledge to level, flatten, and smooth concrete.

Duties * Champions "The Layton Way" by delivering predictable outcomes for internal teams, external teams, and customers. * Ensures that "Constructing with Integrity" is delivered by working with honesty, unity, safety, and quality of work. * Apply applicable materials to hardened concrete walls for a smoother architectural appearance. * Identify hazards associated with task assignments and ask questions if clarification is needed. * Comply with all the safety policies, practices, and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Safety personnel. * Work effectively as a team member of the field workforce. * Follow supervisor instructions and decisions. * Understand and follow lock out/tag out procedures. * This position may supervise apprentice finishers. Qualifications * Three years of concrete finishing or related work experience. * Understands and conveys basic English commands, questions, and instructions regarding commercial construction. * Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exist. * Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to use carpentry math to calculate measurements. * Owns the tools required of the Concrete Finisher position. * Commits to and meets all scheduled attendance and production deadlines. * At least 18 years of age.
