We are seeking a talented Industrial Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in industrial design, with a strong portfolio showcasing their creative abilities and technical skills, particularly in the realm of human-centered design. As an Industrial Designer, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to conceptualize, design, and develop innovative baby-gear from ideation to production.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Application of consumer insights into innovative design solutions across a multitude of media.

• Ability to participate in programs that require direct contact with consumers through participation of qualitative research.

• Work closely with Engineering to develop product specifications and validate prototypes.

• Conceptualize and develop new products having an average level of difficulty and complexity.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design.

• 3 -5 years of relevant experience preferably in human-centered design products.

• Available for light travel if needed.

• Excellent visual and verbal communication and presentation skills.

• Experience working in a cross-functional environment.

Design Fundamentals Able to demonstrate design process awareness through research, drawing, rendering, form development, color and materials theory, mechanical awareness, and model building.

Surface Development Capable of developing CAID models, basic knowledge of SolidWorks a plus.

Study Models Ability to build prototypes. Working knowledge of materials and properties to achieve desired results. Soft-good experience/exposure a plus.

Digital Design Tools (Working Knowledge). Full Adobe Creative Suite understanding. Working-knowledge of emerging technologies and digital visualization tools.

Materials and Methods (Basic Awareness) Undergraduate level knowledge of common product materials and their manufacturing process.
