General Description:

The Director, Market Insights, New Markets will be the trusted partner for insights generation. S/he is responsible for supporting strategic decisions by generating insights and deriving recommendations based on in-depth market analysis. S/he will actively influence commercial strategy and planning efforts for BeiGene’s product portfolio in all New Markets. This person must be able to engage diverse audiences and possess strong analytical skills with an ability to translate findings into actionable insights.

Essential Functions:

  • In-depth understanding of the needs of countries

  • Manage entire market insight generation process, including needs assessment, agency selection, research design and sampling strategy, data collection and analysis, key recommendation and insights alignment

  • Identifies knowledge gaps and recommends appropriate data and research to answer business questions

  • Understands and solicits insights generation design and implications for decision-making

  • Map and assess competitive dynamics in key indications and/or therapeutic areas

  • Provide objective analysis of competitive (commercial, clinical, and scientific) information to enable actions and business decision-making.

  • Interprets research findings and translate them into actionable business insights

  • Proactively synthesizes data from multiple sources to address complex business questions, in a timely manner

  • Prepares and succinctly presents insights to relevant teams

  • Source market insights from other regions and assess applicability to New Markets

  • Attend ad boards as needed to capture insights shared

  • Effectively collaborate with GMs, Commercial leads, and cross-functional teams

Minimum Requirements – Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferred in business, economics, biological, or medical sciences.At least 10 years of industry experience

Other Qualifications:

  • BA or BS with concentration in Life Sciences, Marketing, or Business; MBA or other advanced degree preferred

  • 10+ years’ experience in some combination of the following: brand marketing/strategy, market research, business analytics, competitive intelligence with at least 8+ years of experience in the biopharmaceuticals industry

  • Biotech or pharmaceutical launch / in-market experience required

  • Global and/or international experience required

  • Hands on, in-depth understanding of qualitative and quantitative research methods

  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to translate the data and learning into actionable recommendations for business growth

  • Experience with pharmaceutical data sources (e.g. IQVIA)

  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and act without having the complete picture

  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, including ability to synthesize data and deliver a clear overview of commercial strategy, opportunity and risks for the Executive Team

Travel: 10% - 20%
