Job Profile Summary:

Major responsibilities include ensuring guests are satisfied with hotel and hotel room cleanliness, responding to guest needs, ensuring safety and security of guest rooms, maintaining inventory and cost controls, training, maintaining and managing a motivated and skilled team. Ensure outstanding guest satisfaction and product quality in accordance with Platinum Management Services, LLC. and Brand standards. Maintain professionalism at all times. Displays exemplary performance for staff to follow. Possess technical knowledge and aptitude.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties include the following -­‐ Other Duties May Be Assigned:

  • Adhere to Platinum Management Services, LLC. and Brand specific standards.

  • Comply with all applicable federal, state and local laws and ordinances as they apply to the property, guests and associates.

  • Adhere to safety and emergency procedures and policies (i.e. evacuation, first aid, etc.) to include removing all safety hazards.

  • Promote the property through goodwill, courtesy and a positive attitude.

  • Maintains current knowledge of local area, attractions and events.

  • Professional appearance and grooming must be adhered to at all times. Uniforms must be worn according to Company and Brand standards.

  • Prepare work schedules to efficiently handle business volume.

  • Maintain effective key control including issuance of keys to department personnel.

  • Monitor departmental personnel hours worked to prevent overtime.

  • A major portion of the workday will be spent working inspecting guest rooms, public areas and back of the house areas.

  • Be proficient in all housekeeping and guest service operations.

  • Re view and follow procedures to report property equipment, furnishing and supplies in need of repair.

  • Review and follow procedures on Brand and Company Energy Conservation Program.

  • Remove trash, tidy lobby and service areas.

  • Communicate and report any deficiencies in guest rooms, out of order equipment etc. to management.

  • Train and provide career development for department personnel.

  • Perform routine inventory counts and place department orders.

  • Maintain franchise standards and follow-up on inspection deficiencies.

  • Maintain Company and Brand quality assurance (QA) standards.

  • Work with management in maximizing revenues, controlling payroll and department expenses within budgeted guidelines.

  • Follow budget and inventory protocol.

  • Departmental purchasing using Company purchase order policies and procedures.

  • Validate receipt and store purchased items appropriately.

  • Maintains lost and found and ensures timely and appropriate documentation.

  • Participate in interviews and make recommendations of hiring decision for department staff.

  • Work closely with management to ensure that the communication among all departments is frequent and clear.

  • Prioritize and resolve escalated customer concerns and complaints.

  • Fulfill Manager On-Duty responsibilities.

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Keep company business including but not limited to, financials, personnel, guest and customer data strictly confidential.

    Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Professional appearance and grooming must be adhered to at all times.

  • Excellent verbal and communication skills required.

  • Proficient in English. Bi-lingual a plus.

  • Ability to attend and complete required Company and Brand training.

  • Ability to attain and maintain CPR/ServSafe permit

  • Adaptable to assist other departments in time of need.

  • Must be a self-starter with effective leadership skills.

  • Proficient with current technologies and software inclusive of business applications.

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule.

  • Be organized and work well in a fast-paced team environment.

  • Stand and/or walk for an extended period of time.

  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place object weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling and stooping.

  • Have an outgoing personality.

  • Maintain professionalism at all times.

  • Previous housekeeping experience preferred.

  • High School Diploma required; College Degree is preferred.
