John George Psychiatric Pavilion Psychiatrist II in San Leandro, California

Alameda Health System (AHS) is seeking Psychiatrists for Per Diem/Services as needed nights and weekend shifts in the nationally recognized John George Psychiatric Hospital to provide psychiatric evaluation and diagnosis, prescribe medications, collaborate with other team members, and facilitate treatment plans. Excellent opportunity for trainees in residency programs.

SAN Psychiatrists Salary

  • Hourly rate: $237

  • Evening pay differential (4pm – Midnight): 15% increase to hourly rate for hours worked during this period

  • Night pay differential (Midnight – 7am): 25% increase to hourly rate for hours worked during this period

  • SAN psychiatrists working the 11 PM through 7 AM overnight shift in psychiatric emergency services (PES) shall be paid a flat rate of $349.00/hour

Qualifications

Education: Graduate of an accredited school of medicine or osteopathic medicine with an MD or DO.

Minimum Experience: Prior community mental health services systems experience.

Required Licenses/Certifications: CPI -Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (required for all positions at John George Psychiatric Pavilion; and certain positions in the Emergency Department).

Required Licenses/Certifications: Valid Postgraduate Training License with approval from Residency Program Director; or Valid CA License to practice Medicine with eligibility for certification in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
