Position Summary:

The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for performing routine building maintenance tasks in one or more fields (e.g., construction, electrical, heating ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, etc.) providing preventive maintenance services. Maintenance Technician I also performs general cleaning and other tasks as assigned to ensure minimal interruption to the operations of the facility.

Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs to meet required regulations and scheduling

  • Perform maintenance skills including but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting on production and building equipment

  • Perform building related installation and maintenance including, but not limited to furniture assembly, data/ power installations, plumbing and lighting repair

  • Paint, remodel, refurbish areas as needed

  • Maintain interior and exterior of property

  • Repair, maintain/monitor all equipment and amenities

  • Monitor and maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and modifications

  • Keep areas clean and organized, including cleaning dock levelers, dock bays, pressure washing building surfaces, cleaning HVAC systems (interior and exterior) maintaining a clean maintenance department

  • Assist and respond immediately to emergency situations and customer service requests as assigned

  • Use a variety of hand and power tools to complete maintenance and repair tasks

  • Operate a forklift, aerial lift, and heavy equipment to assist in heavy lifting maintenance procedures and repairs

  • Function as liaison with outside vendors as needed

  • Communicate daily with Maintenance Supervisor and team with respect to repairs, faulty operations, defective materials, or parts and incident reports when necessary

  • Any other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience:

  • High School Diploma

  • 1-2 years of related experience

  • This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Vocational Certification
