A Brief Overview

The Unit Manager is responsible for determining the functions of an area and identifying the dimension for its use and responsible for identifying, controlling, and managing all project risks and for the strategic management of all projects. Coordinates with internal employees as well all consultant such as architects, engineers, and construction companies of all activities provide administration, planning, coordination, and oversight of remodels and construction projects.

This position manages overall integration and issues resolution; defines problem solving and risk mitigation strategies and facilitate conflict resolution through the full project cycle; and oversees the compilation and analysis of project activity and delivery of projects. After project completion, performs several timely objective reviews with key stakeholders to ensure project success. The manager is directly responsible for the supervision and performance management of the Project Manager and Project Coordinator.

What you’ll do

· Responsible for overall project definition, management, and delivery through the direct supervision of Project Managers/Coordinator, starting from the requirements, up-to the eventual execution and completion of all construction projects.

· Development of approaches to improve the quality of analysis & recommendations, modular plans.

· Reviewing the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.

· Overseeing all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations.

· Translates business requirements into functional design layouts, workspace solutions, design portfolio strategy and specifications to provide insight during solution development.

· Distributes responsibilities, supervises, and evaluates performance of direct reports while enforcing the compliance of business regulations, deadlines, and goals.

· Drives desirable projects outcome by building appropriate relationships with

contractors and vendor and collaborating with key stakeholders and business users

to map out and document business requirements.

· Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and documentation to ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and are completed within budget and on time.

· Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and inspectors to ensure timely project delivery.

· Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, escalating issues to top management

when necessary.

· Track and reconcile project budget and estimate final cost throughout the project life. Responsible for managing the Capital Projects budget.

· Collaborate with team members to identify areas for process improvement.

· Coordinate, review, and approve of contract documents such as project safety plans, pay applications, shop drawings, etc.

· Responsible for all project communications at all levels, reporting progress, delays, and issues to all levels of the project teams, from Business Executives down to line employees involved in the project.

· Makes recommendation to General Services Manager about alternatives and possibilities related to construction and remodeling.

· Provides a cost estimate for all projects activities for approval.

· Follows all Bank Policies and general Engineering and architecture guidelines and standard practices.

· Assures that subordinates and contractors perform tasks in a timely manner and within applicable guidelines and regulations.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

· Bachelor’s degree in Architecture , E ngineering or related fields is required for this position.

· Must have a minimum of five years of similar experience including increasing responsibilities managing complex projects, direct/indirect supervision

responsibility, and client/vendor relationship management a must.

· Managerial skills

· Project management proficiency

· Architectural drawing

· Write, speak, and comprehend English and Spanish

· Strong analytic thinking capacity

· AutoCad, Revit, Photo shop, etc.

What’s Good to have:

· Master's d egree is desirable.

· Project management certification ( PMP or equivalent) and a strong knowledge of IT Operations and System development within

the Banking Industry is highly desirable.
