ICF Senior GIS Developer - Remote in San Juan, Puerto Rico

Description

While we strong prefer this candidate reside in Puerto Rico, we are open to supporting 100% remote work anywhere within the U.S. We will not provide relocation to Puerto Rico for this role

ICF is currently seeking a Senior GIS Developer to build software using Geospatial technologies and .NET framework. As Senior GIS Developer, you will be responsible for the development, implementation, testing, maintenance, and providing technical documentation for both ESRI ArcGIS portal and online. Additional application development technologies and tools that may be required this role include C#, JavaScript, React and jQuery and Microsoft SQL Server databases. In this role, you should be able to write highly scalable code that can be simultaneously used by 1000’s of users. You should be able to write automated unit tests and follow agile software development best practices. You should be a team player and an excellent communicator. If you are also passionate about the GIS technologies like ArcGIS, React with ArcGIS API, ArcObjects, ArcPro, .NET framework, C#, and software design/architecture, we’d like to meet you.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in requirements analysis / product backlog grooming

  • Actively participate in agile ceremonies

  • Collaborate with internal teams to produce software design and architecture.

  • Develop and deploy geospatial web services including, views, feature services, and imagery services with ArcObjects, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, ArcPro version, ArcGIS Pro SDK

  • Provide technical expertise on how geospatial systems can be integrated into existing data collection and monitoring systems

  • Write clean, scalable code using C#, JavaScript, ReactJs, jQuery programming languages.

  • Test and deploy applications and systems

  • Revise, update, refactor and debug code

  • Improve existing software

  • Develop documentation throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC)

  • Serve as an expert on applications and provide technical support

What you must have:

  • 2+ years of experience with C#, ESRI, React.js, ArcGIS API or similar GIS apps, and JavaScript

  • 1+ years of experience with .NET framework, MS Visual Studio, SQL Server and design/architectural patterns (e.g. Model-View-Controller (MVC))

  • 1+ years’ experience with HTML5, CSS, and jQuery

  • Ability to obtain U.S. government public trust clearance.

  • Candidate must reside in the US and work must be performed in the US.

  • Preferred candidate will reside in PR

What we’d like you to have:

  • BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field

  • Experienced in writing and consuming SOAP & REST web services.

  • Experience with agile frameworks such as Scrum, XP etc.

  • Experience with Selenium, GitHub, Jenkins and Puppet is a plus

  • Advanced problem-solving skills dealing with complex distributed applications.

  • Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The pay range for this position is:

$76,059.00 - $129,300.00
