As a Logistics Project Manager (Tools) at United Rentals, you will provide leadership and support to large projects to ensure they run smoothly and efficiently to optimize customer service. You are the onsite project lead who will optimize and coordinate equipment and staffing logistics. You’ll deploy and oversee the work of Service Technicians and all onsite employees, and acts as the primary customer contact for the duration of the project.

What you'll do:

  • Manage project logistics team day-to-day activities, including scheduling, equipment setup/deployment, and breakdown

  • Provide leadership and supervision needed to consistently deliver World-Class service to external customers at the project site

  • Motivate, coach and train Service Technicians and other onsite employees to exceed customer commitments and expectations as well as to comply with site policies, procedures and customer requirements

  • Staff each project adequately based on skills and workload; Schedule all project employees and maintain accurate and up-to-date time & attendance records

  • Responsible for performance management of project employees

  • Promote a culture of safety and discipline through leadership, exemplary personal compliance, accountability and communication

  • Ensure total compliance as well as prompt incident/accident/near miss investigations and resolution

  • Ensure all employees continually maintain all required certifications and licenses to work on project or event equipment and applications

  • Participate in pre-project planning meetings, including job walks with OSRs, and strategy sessions

  • Maintain and track project expenses to ensure project profitability

  • Other duties assigned as needed

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred

  • High level technical working knowledge of Tool Solutions products and applications, with strong customer service and relationship skills

  • Extensive logistics and leadership experience in large scale projects or event using Tool Solutions products and applications

  • Excellent project management and logistical oversight skills; Sales experience a plus

  • Basic Proficient in most Microsoft applications and systems (Excel, Word, Outlook, RentalMan)

  • Result oriented with ability to influence others

  • Demonstrated strengths in logistical planning, analysis, prioritizing and problem solving

  • Performance management and coaching skills

  • Strong organizational and delegation skills

  • Strong leadership and communication skills

United Rentals consists of a wide variety of roles with different duties and responsibilities. The actual pay rate offered to candidates varies depending upon a wide range of factors including specific position, education, training, experience, skills, and ability.

Compensation Range:

$78,200.00 - $117,300.00
