Intel Machine Learning Engineer in San José, Costa Rica

Job Description

The AI Solutions Group organization delivers end-to-end AI solutions that significantly enhance Intel’s key performance indicators. In collaboration with their partners across Intel, the team has implemented more than 2,000 solutions within critical areas of Intel’s products and across the entire product life cycle, from development to manufacturing.

The hiring team belongs to AISG organization, the main scope are services to enhance the work for pricing groups at Intel.

In this role responsibilities include, although not limited to:

  • Builds machine learning workflows and infrastructure necessary to productize AI models and sustain them in production.

  • Responsible for preparing data for ML models at scale, building appropriate interfaces for ML model consumption, enabling ML Ops for continuous delivery and automation of ML pipelines, and/or building and sustaining AI productization platforms.

In addition to the qualifications listed above, the ideal candidate will also have:

  • Highly motivated strong team player with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

  • Has strong analytical skills, including the abilities to scope out business problems to be solved, start from ambiguous problem statements, identify, and access relevant data, make appropriate assumptions, perform insightful analysis and draw conclusions relevant to the business problem.

  • Ability to present information professionally + concisely with supporting data.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in Machine Learning, or AI, or computer science and 5+ years of experience -OR- a master’s in Machine Learning, or AI, or Data Science Engineering discipline:

  • 3+ years of experience developing applications or systems using Python

  • Knowledge of classical Machine Learning algorithms

  • linear regression

  • clustering

  • Knowledge of ML algorithm evaluation

  • learning vs validation vs test error interpretation

  • 3+ years of experience in building AI/ML models and in using Python and SQL (or equivalent)

Advanced English level

This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using Github

  • Experience using Cloud Foundry

  • Experience using Kubernetes

  • Experience using other cloud deployment platforms

  • OO programming in Python

  • Python package creation and management

  • API design experience

  • Experience working with mathematical optimization algorithms

  • Knowledge of time series Machine Learning algorithms

  • knowledge of Deep Learning algorithms

  • 1yr experience working with Linux

  • Experience creating visualizations for complex (multi-variate) data sets

  • Distributed computing protocols and languages, like HTTP, Rest, HTML, CSS

  • General/conceptual knowledge of browser programming languages like javascript / typescript

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
