Intel Infrastructure Devops Platform Engineer in San José, Costa Rica

Job Description

IT is a group of specialized professionals providing services to Intel Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, Marketing and Corporate teams to sustain and maintain their work environments. IT participates in resolving customer issues and identifying and implementing system administration process improvements, including automation. At Intel we have the opportunity to transform traditional thinking and expectations about how IT supports business innovation, partnership, velocity and productivity.

In Enterprise Solution group, you will be working in the following:

  • Support, maintenance, and enhancement delivery of custom built FuSa complaint PLC and Defect management platform. The platform is ingeniously crafted upon the robust foundations of Java and MSSQL, widely used across all the product groups, tracks collateral for the full PLC of product development at Intel.

  • End to End support in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues related to the platform with On-Call support.

  • Enhancement implementation in Java with SDLC lifecycle including Design, Develop, QA, Release and support the platform and the applications.

  • Conduct root cause analysis for complex incidents and implement preventive measures. Collaborate to identify and implement solutions for recurring issues.

  • Transition from legacy monolithic system to a microservices architecture using Java Spring Boot.

  • Continuously improving our REST-based API to meet and exceed the evolving needs of our customers.

  • Optimizing the performance by finetuning SQL stored procedures.

  • Day to day support during prime hours.

  • Constantly looking for improvement and providing documentation for support.

  • Ensuring compliance with all Quality/Process practices in s/w development.

  • Work cohesively in a self-organized agile team.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's in Computer Science, Computer Engineer or similar software fields of study

3+ years of experience in the following:

SQL development, writing and tuning stored procedures and queries.

SW development in Java or other Object Oriented Languages.

Any scripting language such as Python/Powershell/Perl

Advanced English level

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in Developing middleware/webservices, including any relational Database such as MSSQL/MySQL.

Exposure to SW development in JAVA or other Object oriented language

Master degree in Computer Science or related field of study.

Experience working knowledge of Linux.

Experience with any scripting language such as Python/Powershell/Perl

Knowledge of ElasticSearch, Redis.

Working in an agile methodology with emphasis on CI/CD.

Writing and tuning stored procedures/queries.

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
