Senior Manager, Product Marketing

Job Description

Renesas is seeking a Product Manager in San Jose with experience supporting developing and designing semiconductor products for AI semiconductor solutions for datacenter applications. As a product manager, you will lead product definition and vision and launch products from cradle to grave. You will drive interactions with engineering teams, lead customer discussions, develop go-to-market strategies, identify new markets, and work with cross-functional teams on the vision and customer impact.

Qualifications

  • Engineering Bachelor’s degree, preferred MBA/MS, or advanced degree

  • 10 years’ experience working in product management, technical product marketing, or relevant customer facing functions in semiconductor companies

  • Proven experience with the latest DRAM DDR 4/5 memory controller and PHY interfacing with memory DIMMs/components, and Host CPUs is must required.

  • Experience with PCIe/CXL/Ethernet semiconductor and embedded software product delivery for high-speed connectivity applications such as retimers, controllers, and switches

  • Excellent communication, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence across senior leadership teams at both Renesas and the Customers

  • Detail oriented and customer-focused, with the ability to summarize complex data and produce a compelling yet simple narrative

  • Authorized to work in the US and start immediately

Required Experience

  • Must have thorough market knowledge of server, storage, cloud, and data center market segments

  • Proficient technical knowledge of DDR memory controller and PHY interfaces, PCIe/CXL/Ethernet protocol, standards, and developments

  • Proficient understanding of system-level architectures in the datacenter

  • Basic understanding of AI Training and Inference and associated data movement

  • Direct experience with customer/partner relationship management

  • Demonstrated ability to plan, initiate, and execute new collaborations with multiple customers and partners across the ecosystem

  • Proven track record of working closely with cloud service providers, data center OEMs/ODMs, and CPU/GPU/memory vendors

  • Partnered with industry ecosystem and standards organizations such as PCI-SIG, CXL Consortium, IEEE, etc.

  • Technical Marketing/Sales/Business Development experiences in the semiconductor industry preferred

Responsibilities

  • Execute on product development by working with Renesa's cross-functional teams (program management, R&D, sales, operations, and corporate development) to ensure successful product launch and business growth

  • Execute on product delivery by working with Renesas sales and operations teams to forecast and build products to meet customer needs

  • Built close relationships with lead customers and manage cradle-to-grave product engagement and support

  • Assist with Go-to-market strategy and launch plan with clear market assessment, competitive analysis, and positioning of products

  • Drive Marketing Activities such as tradeshows, press releases, joint papers, etc. and contribute to new and creative content generation

  • Develop compelling sales material that clearly promote product value and differentiation and work closely with sales and customers to secure new business opportunities and close design-wins.

  • Contribute to market TAM/SAM analysis and use data-driven product and execution strategies to deliver revenue.

  • Maximize Business Impact through continuous market assessment. Refine product, when needed, based on new learnings and as an advocated for the customer

Additional Information

The expected annual pay range for this position is $ 172,500 - $259,000. This position is also eligible for bonus opportunities. Please note that final offer amount will be dependent on geographic location, applicable experience, and skillset of the candidate.
