Pay range: $75,000.00 to $120,000.00

The Role

The New Account Administrator deals with new accounts and customer inquiries. This individual will be knowledgeable about bank offerings and services and will work with customer service and or other duties required in the bank. This role is responsible for the efficient and effective opening of new business and personal accounts. This role involves working closely with clients to understand their financial needs, ensuring compliance with banking regulations, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Account Opening:

  • Serve as the lead point of contact for all new account management matters.
  • Assist clients in opening new account, ensuring all required documentation is complete, accurate and recorded.
  • Verify business information and credentials to comply with KYC (Know Your Customer) and AML (Anti-Money Laundering) policies and regulations.
  • Maintain detailed records of new accounts and client interactions.

Customer Service:

  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships to maintain old business and acquire new customers.
  • Endure the timely delivery of documents/solutions according to customer needs.
  • Assist with Challenging customer requests as needed.
  • Provide high-quality service to business clients, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Guide clients through the process of selecting the right banking products and services to meet their needs.
  • Process deposit operations related tasks such as address changes, stop payments, check orders and CD renewals.
  • Follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction and to address any additional needs.

Compliance and Regulations:

  • Ensure all new account activities comply with relevant regulations, including BSA (Bank Secrecy Act), AML, and other federal and state laws.
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes and implement necessary adjustments in the account opening process.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all account openings and client interactions.
  • Prepare and submit required reports on new account activities and compliance metrics, as needed.

Relationship Management:

  • Act as a liaison between clients and other bank departments to facilitate comprehensive financial solutions.
  • May represent the Bank in various community, civic, and community reinvestment functions to promote Banks image.

Cross-Selling:

  • Develop new business with existing clients.
  • Identify opportunities to cross-sell additional banking products and services to business clients.
  • Collaborate with other departments to facilitate a seamless experience for the client.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in banking, in a new accounts or business banking role.
  • Strong knowledge of banking regulations, including KYC and AML requirements.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in banking software and Micros ft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Treasury management products and services.
  • Familiarity with NACHA retention requirements and Centrix Payment IQ system procedures.
  • Knowledge of cryptocurrency regulations as per the DFPI.
