Kellanova Industrial Electrical Mechanic in San Jose, California

Are you passionate about tinkering with electrical and mechanical components? We have an exciting opening for an Industrial Electrical Mechanic at our state-of-the-art facility in San Jose, California. We operate on a continuous crewing schedule where there are alternating weeks of 3 and 4 days per week, with openings on night and day shift. The pay range for this position is $31.67 – 40.93 an hour, with weekly pay, plus overtime after your standard 3 or 4 days!

As an Industrial Electrical Mechanic, your workday takes on a unique rhythm. You may be diagnosing a glitch in the conveyor system or fine-tuning a pneumatic drive – every day presents a fresh puzzle to solve. When production hiccups occur, you will dive into root cause analysis, armed with schematics and drawings. With your problem-solving skills, you will find solutions to boost plant efficiency.

A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing

  • Maintaining Equipment and Amplifying Your PLC Knowledge: You’ll be the go-to expert for troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and on-the-spot machine repair. Your firm grasp of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) will be essential. Find innovative solutions while ensuring clear documentation of your processes.

  • Analyzing Conditions and Providing Solutions: Dive into production equipment failures, conducting root cause analysis. Schematics and drawings will be your trusty companions. Repair electrical and mechanical systems, including pneumatics, drives, hydraulics, and conveyors.

  • Prioritizing Innovation and Communication: Seek ways to boost plant efficiency and cost savings. Your fresh ideas matter! Maintain an open dialogue with your lead and supervisor, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.

    We’re Looking for Someone With

  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office

  • Experience troubleshooting PLC programs and hardware

  • Must be able to read and interpret electrical and electronic/mechanical drawings, prints, schematics, and computer programs

  • Must have demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair electronic and computerized equipment including RS Logix (5, 500, and 5000), Allen Bradley PLCs, HMI programming, AC/DC drives, motor control systems, and related equipment and systems

  • Must follow all Safety and Food Safety guidelines.

  • This position requires regular attendance and punctuality in accordance with Company policies. Additionally, the ability to interact well with other employees and work overtime, as necessary, is required.

  • Sitting, standing, walking, lifting and/or repetitive tasks throughout the day. The employee will be required to occasionally lift to 50lbs

  • Salary Range: ($70,720 – $106,080)
