As a Db2 for z/OS Developer you will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of the Db2 database management system on IBM z/OS platforms. You will work with a team of highly skilled professionals to implement innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers.
Key responsibilities including following:
Design and development of new features for the Db2 database management system on z/OS platforms.
Work with clients and stakeholders to understand their requirements and develop solutions that meet their needs.
Develop and maintain unit test cases, functional level test cases and automate these test cases to ensure the reliability, performance, and security of the system.
Collaborate with other teams within the organization. Constantly improve current process, systems, and tools
Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in database management systems. Propose the innovative solutions for the product.
Build technical eminence in database communities including the application of new features, best practices, and technical specifications.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
At least 3 years of experience in system level programming
Strong proficiency in database and SQL
Experience in software development lifecycle methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, or DevOps
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders across the globe
Demonstrated problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Experience with Db2 will be plus
Experience with IBM mainframe technology will be plus
Experience with PLX will be plus

The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
