Job Information

Actalent Construction Project Manager in San Jose, California

  • Minimum of 20 years of management experience with heavy civil and vertical design and construction programs that involve aviation

  • • Candidate has expertise in all aspects of a project management from planning to project closeout

  • • Experience with a variety of construction methodologies and materials

  • • Experience with ground up construction, aviation experience is a plus

  • • Experience with progressive design build

  • • Experience managing a construction contract, risk management and change management

  • • Specific specialized experience managing claims on behalf of an owner successfully

  • • Experience successfully managing the successful financial and schedule performance for a project

  • • Proven leadership skills on previous large mega type design and construction projects

  • • Experience representing the owner in the role of project management during all stages of the program

  • • Understanding of airport and airline operations and working within a operating environment

  • • Understanding of design and construction methodologies, delivery methods, solicitation of services and project life-cycles

  • • Leader in stakeholder engagement to identity, communicate, resolution and accomplishment of needs, while preserving the principles and criteria of the project scope, schedule and budget constraints

  • Maintaining an excellent working relationship with the design and construction professionals geared towards open communications and mutual problem solving in the best interest of the project and all other parties involved

  • • Developing and maintaining a high level team through professionalism that reflects well on the project team, external stakeholders and LAWA’s internal stakeholders

  • • A four-year degree is required, in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or related field is preferred

  • • Ability to effectively present to technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively

  • • Follow processes and technical requirements and ensure project meets the technical requirements

  • • Candidates will work in a transparent and ethical manner and ensure is aware of all aspects of the project and well as forecasts
