Salary Range: $90,000 to $110,000

We do this while minimizing operational and financial impact.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Assistant IT Project Manager will be a primary figure in the coordination of the IT project management office, business process, and functional business managers. The Assistant IT Project Manager will work with IT project managers, internal IT and business teams, 3rd party vendors, and CEI stakeholders to assist in guiding projects to a successful completion. The Assistant IT Project Manager will be responsible for the management and presentation of the project portfolio, ensuring the inputs are received, incorporated, and communicated to the broader team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Facilitate to align projects with business objectives, helping construct detailed work plans, achieving milestones, and communicating the results to stakeholders.

  • Establish and maintain processes for managing scope during the project lifecycle, setting quality and performance standards, and assessing risks.

  • Report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels and escalate issues, as necessary, according to project work plan.

  • Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution.

  • Monitor progress and adjust as needed.

  • Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement.

  • Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure that projects adhere to scope, schedule, and budget.

  • Analyze project status and, when necessary, revise the scope, schedule, or budget to ensure that project requirements can be met.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with relevant client stakeholders, providing day-to-day project status and changes.

  • Organization and time management skills required to keep projects on track and within budget.

  • Able to travel up to 25% in support of external contractors, project objectives, team meetings, etc.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.

Education: High School Diploma or GED Required. Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Business, Engineering, preferred.

Licensure/Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, or preferred.

Experience: Two (2) years of related experience in IT project management, IT operations, or directly related experience.
