Summary of Duties: Act as a technical escalation contact within the team and contribute to strategy. Support the organic growth and expansion of the Global Transition Services team. Onboard new team members and interview talent within the US region. Transition the teams’ largest mandates for business partners and clients including the execution of $1.17 trillion conversions as well as the execution of $12 billion OCIO transition for a significant platform client. Drive multiple process enhancements projects and streamline event types and associated processes for the team. Evolve the US team project management and post execution model based on the EMEA prototype to drive efficiencies and better support our revenue generating client portfolio restructure events. Export EMEA tax and stamp duty processes and cross border this knowledge and the related complexities to US team members. Partner with Transition Managers and Portfolio Managers on the pre‐transition preparation for restructured activities. Conduct transferability analysis and preliminary tax analysis to assist Transition Managers in providing the most accurate data to existing and new clients. Collaborate with key operational teams including Product Tax and Compliance to mitigate risk on live transitions. Attend and host client, consultant, custodian, and internal meetings, as well as conference calls and conduct initiations. Implement accurate recordings and information retention for MIS, audit, and regulatory purposes. Manage and maintain counterparty and provider relationships. Review and challenge existing procedures to improve and rationalize frequently changing environments and requirements. Act as crucial liaison with custodians and Fund Managers to ensure information accuracy for client portfolios. Update internal systems to reflect security and cash transfers. Deliver timely signed instructions to custodians, fund accountants, and transfer agents. Ensure accurate tracking of corporate actions during transition activities and monitor account settlement. Liaise with Portfolio Compliance to ensure that BlackRock is not in breach of company or client guidelines, and with Financial Crime teams to maintain regulatory and market adherence.

Qualifications: Master's in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related field of study. 48 months of experience in job offered or related occupation. In the alternative, employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field of study and 72 months of experience in the job offered or related occupation. Requires four (4) years of experience with: 1. Conducting cash and stock reconciliation processes during transition events; 2. Transitioning financial instruments including equities, bonds as well as pooled vehicles such as Tax Transparent Funds (TTF), Collective Trust Funds (CTF), and Mutual Funds (MF);3. Collaborating with operational and strategic teams to address transition processes and prioritize risk mitigation; 4. Applying market transferability rules and corporate procedures to evaluate the impact upon the transfer of assets; 5. Implementing Stamp Flags, Financial Transaction Taxes, NCBO/CBO transfers, FOF structures, in‐kind fees, and monitoring in-kind activity such as income payments and residual corporate action activity; 6. Conducting in-kind re-registration for TTF’s and Mutual Funds and monitoring settlement of Free-of-Payment (FoP) activity at a transfer agent and custodial level via SWIFT messaging during the transaction lifecycle; and 7. Navigating a centralized and integrated online trading and portfolio system environment to assess information including transactions, positions, risk measures, prices, data security, and client investment guidelines.

For California only the salary range for this position is $149,900 - $173,500. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
