Amazon UX Designer, Amazon Grocery Stores Product in San Francisco, California

Description

Grocery at Amazon is a rapidly growing business that must-win for Amazon, and we are seeking a UX Designer to join us during our next stage of growth. We are seeking a talented UX Designer to innovate on our online grocery experience. The ideal candidate enjoys collaborating with UX designers, product managers, and engineers. You'll have a significant impact on the customer experience as you raise the quality bar and rapidly iterate on new initiatives for our online shopping experience. You will work collaboratively with other business functions to plan, develop, and release innovative and delightful UX solutions. The UX Designer should have deep knowledge and practical experience in software design, from design concept to development and release, and possess excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Key job responsibilities

  • Lead the production of working backwards artifacts like storyboards for user flows, original concepts, leadership presentations; quickly iterate on multiple design solutions

  • Work strategically with other UX design family roles such as Design strategists and UX Research in a collaborative environment

  • Lead the definition and communication of the product's interaction design and design best practices across multiple features

  • Work with the product management team to develop a shared vision of new product features, close on requirements, and deliver results to meet the team's agreed upon objectives

  • Present design work to multiple cross-functional teams, managers, and senior leadership for review and feedback

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of design experience

  • 3+ years of delivering design solutions as a UX designer or interaction designer experience

  • Have an available online portfolio

  • Experience prototyping (HTML, XHTML, JavaScript, CSS, Flash or Flash Catalyst, or Axure)

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of mass-market consumer web / mobile products experience

  • Experience working in a collaborative team and working directly with developers for implementation of designs

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $94,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $184,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
