Amazon is now searching for an innovative and solutions-oriented Interdisciplinary Systems Engineer to be a part of our global initiative of developing and delivering the next generation of world-class fulfillment systems through the use of advanced technology. Successful candidates are natural self-starters who have prior engineering experience in the integrated automation project life cycle, including development, design, implementation, enhancement, and support.

In this role you will provide Systems Engineering expertise across the entire lifecycle from ideation, development, and deployment as part of a top-notch Engineering and Integration organization.

Key job responsibilities

Developing operational candidate architectures, concepts, requirements, and architectural designs.

Conducting and analyzing requirements flow down, propose verification methodologies and mitigation approaches.

Conducting model-based systems engineering (MBSE) and modeling, simulation and analysis as needed.

Developing Test Objectives and scope by program phase to ensure test plans cover program requirement for validation.

Developing products and lead program design reviews as needed.

Assisting in Configuration Management of the program technical baseline.

Basic Qualifications

  • This Role Requires 75% National Travel*

Twelve (12) years' experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science is required. Understanding and working knowledge of SysML. Familiar with Agile Methodologies. Experience using a system modeling tools (Cameo, Enterprise Architect, MagicDraw, etc...) to solve systems engineering problems

Experienced practitioner in requirements management and requirements management tools like Jama, Polarion, DOORS

Experience with process development and deployment

Development and implementation experience in MBSE-related Digital Engineering activities and implementation

Experience in development of Test & execution plans

Support Continuous Testing on program as needed

Support integration, validation & verification efforts as needed

Assist in Configuration Management of the program technical baseline

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $121,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
