Some Responsibilities as Senior Tax Associate:

  • Handling tax accounting across various funds (hedge, private equity, real estate, SPV).

  • Preparing and reviewing tax work papers and returns.

  • Calculating estimated taxes and managing investor tax documents.

  • Engaging with external firms for tax, accounting, and legal matters.

  • Addressing investor tax queries with researched responses.

  • Coordinating with other departments and external auditors for financial statements.

    Requirements

  • 3-4+ years in public accounting with Flow-Through Taxation focus.

  • Experience with partnership agreements for hedge and private equity funds.

  • Proficiency in hedge fund tax issues like Schedule M-1 computation.

  • Understanding of private equity fund tax issues, including capital account allocations.

  • Knowledge of real estate fund tax matters, REIT qualification preferred.

  • Ability to identify international tax and tax-exempt organization issues.

  • Experience in preparing and reviewing tax work papers and returns.

  • Managing tax return preparation across multiple firms.

  • Strong grasp of complex tax and accounting rules.

  • Preference for a strong GPA and CPA qualification.
