JPMorgan Chase Senior Associate, Business Management in San Francisco, California

As a Senior Associate, Business Management in the JPMorgan Advisors Finance team, you will assist with the oversight of compensation policies and procedures, with emphasis on a high-quality service level and work product. You will analyze process flows and work with various functional groups to implement process improvements and achieve automation. You will also be responsible for reporting financial results and referral activity, verifying compensation calculations, performing research and analysis, resolving issues, as well as for preparing and reviewing recurring and ad-hoc reports, creating and maintaining appropriate supporting documentation, and responding to audit and regulatory inquiries.

For this role, candidates must be able to physically work in our San Francisco office 3 days a week and remotely from home 2 days per week. The specific schedule will be determined and communicated by direct management.

Job Responsibilities

  • Measure compensation and financial results; report and communicate the results to executive management, regional leaders and other internal business partners

  • Monitor and report business referral activity

  • Review and verify monthly and quarterly compensation calculations prior to payment utilizing Excel, SQL and data management expertise

  • Perform financial analysis and provide recommendations for Executive Management on incentive compensation programs, third party vendor relationships and on business policy changes

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for questions from professionals and executive management related to various areas of incentive compensation, drive issue resolution

  • Recommend and develop new/enhanced reporting methods and documentation. Lead collaboration across functional groups, including Finance, Technology, Risk and Operation teams to strengthen controls, enhance information availability, and reduce production time.

  • Create and maintain department procedure documentation; gather information and respond to internal and external audit requests

  • Assist with creation and delivery of presentation materials and content to support communication of compensation plan elements and potential changes

  • Assist with creation of any review/updates for forecast and budget projections, compared results versus projections and communicate variance to key stakeholders

  • Assist with financial due diligence analysis for prospective new hire and acquisition opportunities

  • Participate in collaborative initiatives with team members and other departments, looking for ways to continually simplify, improve, and add value to existing business processes

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or other related area

  • 4+ years of prior business management and/or finance experience

  • Detail-oriented individual who has the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing business priorities

  • Proven experience delivering timely, high quality presentations and/or reporting for various projects and stakeholders

  • Demonstrated ability in dealing with different stakeholder groups and driving the agenda

  • Excellent communication, organization and project management skills

  • Ability to articulate and demonstrate thoughtful rationale and excellent judgment

  • Intermediate to advanced level ability expected in all MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Pivot Tables)

  • Self-motivated, tenacious and able to work with high degree of independence

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; strong time management and prioritization skills

  • Team player and problem solver
