Uber Senior Analyst - Financial Risk Management Data & Automation in San Francisco, California

About the Role

The Senior Analyst - FRM Data & Automation position will be responsible for building and supporting data analytics programs that drive efficiency and effectiveness within Uber's Financial Risk Management team. The role will be interacting closely with Uber's Engineering, Product, and Finance teams to rationalize and automate Uber's financial control and audit testing procedures. The successful applicant will possess strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication to translate complex data into actionable recommendations.

What You'll Do

  • Build and maintain cross-functional relationships across Engineering, Product, Operations, and Audit stakeholders to drive effective financial risk management

  • Improve efficiency of the control environment through implementation of automation solutions

  • Develop and maintain data analytics models and tools to identify and assess key risks across the organization

  • Design and implement continuous monitoring and reporting solutions to track risk trends

  • Build interactive BI dashboards to transform raw data into actionable insights

  • Provide data-driven recommendations to improve risk management processes

  • Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends in data analytics and risk management.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, and/or a related field

  • 3+ years' professional experience in building and supporting data analytics programs

  • Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, or R for data manipulation and analysis

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree

  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to communicate insights effectively

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels

  • Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience with machine learning and advanced analytics techniques

  • Demonstrated project management experience

  • Knowledge of risk management frameworks and internal audit methodologies

For Dallas, TX-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$112,000 per year - USD$124,000 per year. For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$124,000 per year - USD$137,500 per year. For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$124,000 per year - USD$137,500 per year. For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
