Job Title: Professional Educator - Dental Hygiene

Company: Employed by Joule’, assignment through Waterpik™

Location: San Francisco, CA - Professional Educator must live within 30-45 minutes of target location

Job Type: Part-time

Role Summary

The primary role of a Waterpik™ professional educator (PE) is to deliver a minimum of 4 and maximum of 8 educational lunch and learns per month on the proven benefits of water flossing to local dental practices that result in the increase in Waterpik™ water flosser recommendations.

Role Responsibilities

  • Deliver 4 to 8 educational Luch and Learns (LnL) per month, with professional and expert knowledge of the Waterpik™ water flosser

  • Identify and develop LnL leads via phone, email, stopping by offices, and general networking within the dental community.

  • Work within the boundaries of your assigned territory and cooperate with other educators

  • Respond promptly to calls, emails, text messages, and cooperate with other PEs, Joule’ staff, and the Waterpik™ management team.

  • Maintain an accurate and up to date LnL schedule

  • Submit LnL reports and invoices within 48 hours of an event to the team

  • Responsible for ordering office event lunch, and submitting receipts for reimbursement

  • Conduct all activities in a fair and ethical manner.

    Skills, Competencies, Abilities

  • Proven track record recommending the Waterpik™ Water Flosser

  • Strong professional communication and Interpersonal skills

  • Excellent organization and time management skills

  • Computer proficiency (Power Point, MS word, MS Excel, digital/social media)

  • Well-networked in the dental/dental hygiene community

  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision

    Education and Experience

  • Dental Hygiene Degree (AA or above)

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience post-graduation as a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH)

    Other qualifications and requirements:

  • Personal Laptop: PC or MAC

  • Access to Power Point/Keynote

  • Ability to use a personal credit card, or debit card, for purchasing lunch; reimbursed within 2 weeks of completed invoice

  • Reliable mode of transportation

  • Two open days during the work week (Mon - Thurs)

    Compensation

  • Pay Rate – Base of $275 per LnL

  • $15 non-taxed equipment reimbursement per LnL

  • Reimbursement:

  • $15 per person for lunch by receipt

  • $15 for your lunch; must be purchased within 2 hours of conclusion of the LnL

  • Quarterly bonus program – ability to earn additional income based on performance

  • Educators are part-time employees of Joulé, a 3rd party service provider

  • Educator is eligible for unemployment and Worker’s Compensation

  • Vacation, health insurance, retirement or other benefits are NOT provided.

  • Joulé provides HR and administrative services for the program.

  • Waterpik provides management, leadership, and day to day operations

    Reporting relationship:

  • Reports directly to the lunch and learn program manager; will also take direction from the program coordinator and the Director and Manager of professional education.
