NBCU Local Bay Area Sales Internship provides students with real world experience and exposure to working in Sales in a top ten television market.

Successful interns will demonstrate a passion for learning and the ability to step out of their comfort zone. We are looking for students who are highly motivated and who can function as a team member or independently in a fast-paced sales environment.

Internships at NBCUniversal are paid and do not require course credit.

The Marketing Sales Intern will work collaboratively with the Marketing Sales team to support the business to business marketing strategy for NBC Sports, NBC Bay Area, Telemundo 48, and NBC’s OTT platforms, including Peacock.  Some of the responsibilities include:

  • Updating marketing & research presentations with audience metrics, sales opportunities, and graphic imagery

  • Gathering social media figures to incorporate into sponsorship trackers

  • Assisting with audience highlights and sponsorship recaps for Paris 2024 Summer Olympics (July 26 – Aug 11)

  • Pulling video clips of sponsored content for proof of performance

  • Uploading sponsored content to digital platforms

  • Recapping media and sponsorship campaigns in comprehensive PowerPoint decks

  • Maintaining local market, audience, and industry updates on internal SharePoint site

  • Participating on sales production calls to document logistics and creative marketing objectives in internal project management software

     

NBCUniversal interns must meet the following criteria:

  • In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution and be able to provide documentation to confirm your degree progress. We will consider recent graduates one semester beyond degree.

  • Current class standing of Junior or above

  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above 

  • Must be 18 years of age or older

  • Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. without a Visa or sponsorship

  • Must have flexibility to work primarily in the San Francisco office at 360 Third Street

  • 1-2 years experience in working office environment, Sales related preferred.

  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks and be comfortable working in deadline-oriented environment

  • Proficient with MS Office applications, including especially strong proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel

  • Ideal candidate will also have strong working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and eye for graphic design

  • High level of competency using Social Media platforms, primarily Facebook, Instagram and Twitter

  • Knowledge of local sports franchises (Giants, A’s, Warriors, Sharks, 49ers) is also a big plus

     

Base Salary is $18.07 per hour
