Key job responsibilities

Here as a Product Architect you will...

  • Leverage your domain depth to develop ideas that create new innovative products, services or solutions to address real-world problems. These ideas may come from your own experiences, key customer partners, or other groups within Amazon.

  • Create technology solutions and evolve them as we gain new insights and understanding. You understand how to decompose big ideas into discrete and deliverable components and often roll up your sleeves to get stuff done.

  • Use your wisdom to assess whether things are doable with the knowledge of today, how they might be achievable with further development of existing solutions, or when things require new research and science.

  • Keep close ties with the consumers of our services and look around corners to help us better anticipate future needs. You know how to take those insights and develop them into concrete proposals.

  • Refine and advocate a ‘north star’ to guide business decision making with executives and team alignment. You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. You understand how to craft a thesis and can show your work.

  • Travel up to 10%, including potentially international destinations.

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience

  • 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent

  • Knowledge of presentations and whiteboarding skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with internal and external executives, IT management, and developers

  • Knowledge of distributed systems design and implementation or equivalent

  • Knowledge of large scale automation and workflow management or equivalent

  • Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences and at C-level, including training, workshops, publications

  • Professional working proficiency in Japanese

  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly.

  • Experience in the automotive domain

Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS certification, such as, AWS Solutions Architect, or a similar cloud certification

  • Full professional fluency in Japanese or Korean

  • Experience with Software Defined Vehicle concepts and technologies

  • Strong understanding of IoT, MCUs and ECUs

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $122,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $239,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
