BRIDGE Housing closed on $100 million in Taxable Bonds, Series 2020 (Sustainability Bonds). BRIDGE will use bond proceeds for predevelopment, development and acquisition of multifamily housing that fit within its Sustainability Bond Framework of affordable housing, transit-oriented development, green building and energy efficiency.

In 2023, BRIDGE Housing's credit rating with S&P has received a significant boost from A+ to AA- with a stable outlook. The upgrade is a result of BRIDGE’s leadership, strong financial performance, and an improvement in debt profile.

BRIDGE Finance & Accounting Team

The Finance & Accounting Team at BRIDGE has 40 staff members split across three teams: Corporate, Property Management Accounting, and Development Accounting.

Reporting to the Finance and Treasury Manager, the Finance and Treasury Analyst is responsible for treasury strategy and management of cash balances across all BRIDGE entities. BRIDGE has several hundred entities which maintain operating cash and reserve balances for various purposes. This complex structure will require this position to build systems and process to monitor cash across entities. Essential to the role, this position will forecast cash inflows and outflows to determine appropriate investment strategy to maximize returns.

The Finance and Treasury Analyst will also be an active participant in the annual property budgeting process working closely with the Asset Management team, assisting in system setup, and profitability analysis. This position will also work on various special projects throughout the year, including the completion of various budget and financial consolidated schedules.

This position requires a highly detail-oriented individual with good written and oral presentation capacities. The role is in an active office environment and must help build a strong accounting team.

Responsibilities

Treasury

  • Coordinate with banking partners to monitor financial products and opportunities.

  • Work on monthly cash forecasting, liquidity reporting and quarterly treasury updates.

  • Work on data validation to improve Treasury dashboards and reporting.

  • Execute on cash management and investment strategy with guidance from team.

  • Develop cash management, investment, and risk mitigation strategies.

  • Implement accounting procedures for new investment products.

  • Provide treasury expertise and guidance to cross-functional teams such as AP, Finance and Accounting.

    Financial Analysis

  • Own and/or provide support for a variety of Treasury and Finance related task and ad-hoc Treasury and Finance projects as needed.

  • Compile, analyze and interpret financial data across BRIDGE’s business lines.

  • Partner with business leaders across departments to analyze and forecast expenses.

  • Collaborate on system implementation projects to improve automation.

  • Work on annual property budgeting process in collaboration with Asset Management team.

  • Work on data visualizations of the treasury and finance related reports.

  • Provide financial input on investments, loans, and liabilities.

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting /Economics

  • 2+ years of relevant finance or treasury management work experience

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP’s and pivot tables

  • Proficiency with spreadsheets, databases, and financial software applications

  • Demonstrated the ability to be an effective team member who takes initiative and has proven experience managing deadlines

  • Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet, professional manner

  • Good communication skills and written/oral presentation capability

  • Ability to work under supervision and prioritize workload to meet monthly and quarterly deadlines

  • Experience with Yardi preferred
