Fastly Business Systems team is looking for a Director of Business Systems Analysis team. This role will support the Go-to-Market organizations of Sales, Marketing and Client Services. The Director, Business Systems Analysis integrates strategic thinking, problem-solving skills and cross-functional collaboration to execute on the Go-to-Market strategy. With expertise in the Salesforce platform and familiarity with related systems such as Zendesk, Outreach, Marketo, and Gainsight, the Director, Business Systems Analysis will serve as the cornerstone for transforming our sales and marketing strategies through innovative technology solutions.

W hat You'll Do:

  • Collaborate with SMEs, senior leaders and business users/stakeholders to understand the Go-to-Market organizations goals and ensure that project outcomes effectively meet strategic objectives.

  • Works on complex issues where problems are not clearly defined and where fundamental principles do not fully apply

  • Interacts with senior management and executives which frequently involves negotiating matters of significance to the organization. Reconciles multiple stakeholder views to drive business results.

  • Lead a team of Product Owners and Business Systems Analysts to examine the current state and effectiveness across the Go-to-Market processes and implement solutions to automate and improve efficiency through introducing new and enhance existing technology solutions

  • Be responsible for understanding the entire business motions for Go-to-Market personas; Account Executives, SDRs, Partners, Account Managers, Support, Marketing and Operations and makes final decisions on implementation

  • Be responsible for understanding the entire Lead to Support business motions and the impacted functions to recommend solutions to processes as our business scales

  • Manage a team of Product Owners and Business Systems Analyst that are the 'go to' people for project and enhancement work of various technology platforms

  • Work with your team to coach, guide and direct the translation of Business Requirements into Solution Design documents, socialize and gain formal approvals from stakeholders

  • Own the Business Analyst Center of Excellence; create a Charter to define and document the overall objectives, resources and constraints

  • Lead the Co-creation, enablement, publishing and adherence to the following templates; Solution Design Document, Test Scripts, UAT Orchestration, Cutover and Post Go-live

  • Collaborate with Business Operations, Analytics and other technology teams to build a cohesive and unified view of Go-to-Market data, always considering upstream and downstream impacts

  • Partner with developers and program managers to establish timelines and ensure delivery of projects and requests

  • Identify time-consuming internal processes and assist in building reliable and scalable solutions to automate them

  • Accountable for actions that impact multiple department budgets

  • Manage fast-changing priorities in a dynamic environment to deliver the most impactful solutions to business stakeholders

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, management information systems, computer science, or related field

  • 12+ years experience as a Business Systems Analyst or Product Owner in the Go-To-Market Revenue domain

  • 5+ years managing a team of varied levels of business systems analysts

  • Experience with business analysis and business process improvement, preferably in a high-growth enterprise SaaS environment

  • Be great at writing requirements, user stories, strong acceptance criterias, be able to clearly articulate strategies and work with the development teams to communicate and develop solutions

  • Sales technology stack experience for automation, analytics and intelligence processes.

  • Experience in process and system development in the following tools: Salesforce, Salesforce CPQ, Outreach, Salesloft, Xactly, Zendesk, Gainsight, Marketo and Slack Apps

  • Experience in various methodologies for planning and executing application development, enhancement or support

  • Self-motivated, creative person with analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills and the ability to adapt quickly to shifting priorities

  • Basic understanding of database and integration approaches

  • Be able to write medium complexity SQL queries

We’ll be super impressed if you have experience in any of these:

  • The following certifications: Scrum Master or PMP

  • Workato, Gong, and Jira

Work Hours:

  • This position will require you to be available during core business hours as well as an on call rotation.

Fastly currently embraces a largely hybrid model for most roles which allows employees flexibility to split their time between the office and home.

This position may require travel as required by your role or requested by your manager.

Salary:

The estimated salary range for this position is $181,220 to $226,520.

Starting salary may vary based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, and location.

This role may be eligible to participate in Fastly’s equity and discretionary bonus programs.
