Robert Half Contracts Manager in San Francisco, California


Are you passionate about working as a Contracts Manager in the Health Pharm/Biotech industry? This contract / temporary to hire role via Robert Half might be your next career move. In the Contracts Manager role, the candidate will manage and re-negotiate contracts when necessary, along with maintaining vendor subcontracts and agreements. Furthermore, the Contracts Manager will be drafting contracts and managing other assignments.

Key responsibilities

  • Mediate and outsource contracts

  • Operate and maintain the contracts database

  • Coordinate and oversee requirements for compliance with contract terms and conditions, and relay information to internal departments

  • Analyze and draft legal agreements (vendor agreements, NDAs, evaluation agreements)

  • Sustain and organize contract templates; obtain signatures on contracts

  • Oversee the complete life cycle of the Company's contracts (from initial request to final signature and contract distribution)

  • Assemble contractual provisions and administer contract proposals

  • Examine external clients' contract terms to align with Company's risk tolerance, and red-line documents as required for compliance

  • Develop and manage contract repositories

  • Classify internal and external requests on status of contracts

  • Less than one year of experience required

  • Demonstrate skills in reviewing and drafting non-disclosure agreements, especially software evaluation and licensing agreements

  • Demeanor to thrive in a high-paced environment, requiring exceptional organizational skills, juggling priorities, and adhering to strict deadlines

  • Operating Agreements experience required

  • Commercial Contracts experience desired

  • Ability to work cross functionally and influence appropriately

  • 5+ years of relevant experience

  • Comfortable with handling confidential business matters and information with discretion

  • Bachelor's degree

    • Accomplished computer skills are a must. This includes word processing, spreadsheets and presentation software, as well as databases and customer database systems
  • Special organizational skills to track and monitor contracts for future obligations, expiration dates and other contractual deadlines

  • A good fit for candidates that possess strong communication and social skills and able to receive criticism well

  • Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM) certification, or equivalent

  • Excellent analytical, quantitative and social skills

  • Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment
